ASIAN PERSIMMON

Early Jiro Persimmon

Easy to grow, compact trees with large, delicious fruit and striking fall foliage!

Arguably the most popular fruit tree in the world, Asian Persimmons are found throughout China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and other Asian countries.  In addition to its abundant crops of sweet and delicious fruit, Asian Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) is also one of the most attractive fruit trees, decorating gardens and the landscape with striking, reddish-orange fall foliage and bright orange fruit that persists well after leaf fall.

Asian Persimmon is a naturally compact and easy to grow tree, with no significant pest or disease problems. Hardy to 0° F. or below, there are two types of Asian Persimmon; the soft-sweet varieties are delicious and ready to eat when soft and tender, the crisp-sweet varieties can be eaten when firm, like an apple.  From Japan, China and Korea, many of our varieties are unique to the U.S.  We have tested and selected them for their abundant crops of early-ripening, large, sweet and delicious fruit.

We can ship our Asian Persimmon trees to California as well as to all other states and Canada. Grown in containers to ensure transplant success, we look forward to inspiring you and your customers with this unique, attractive and easy to grow fruit tree.
