This beautiful, evergreen shrub is an excellent choice for the Pacific Northwest and other regions with mild winters. Native to southern Brazil, most of the selection and breeding work with this plant has been carried out in New Zealand. Pineapple Guava is slow growing to 6 to 8 feet in height and features striking, red and pink flowers and delicious fruit and very flavorful fruit. Pineapple Guava is pest and disease-resistant, hardy to 5°F and likes a sunny location. Plant two varieties or seedlings for cross pollination and best fruit production.
